A New Online Community for Fenland Carers

At Support Cambridgeshire, we know unpaid carers play a vital role in our communities. Many face long hours, little recognition and, too often, a sense of isolation. That’s why we’re proud to be supporting the launch of the Carers Connect Hub – a new online space bringing carers in Fenland together.
A Place to Connect and Share
The hub is free to join and already has more than 50 members. It provides a safe, supportive environment where carers can:
- Share experiences with people who truly understand
- Access a resource library with guidance on benefits, self-care, and more
- Join themed chat rooms for carers in similar situations
- Take part in regular weekly live sessions and group discussions
Support When It’s Needed
The hub is supported by a dedicated Village Agent, combining professional expertise with lived understanding of carers’ challenges. Through the platform, carers can access help with:
- Cost of living pressures
- Energy bills, blue badge and bus pass applications
- Form filling and practical guidance
- Respite options and signposting to other local services

Looking Ahead
Right now, the Carers Connect Hub is open to unpaid carers living in Fenland, but we hope to see the model grow in future so that no carer ever feels they are facing their challenges alone.
