GET group
About
GET, an acronym for Guidance, Employment and Training was formed in 1989, with a mission to provide an ‘umbrella’ Infrastructure Group for the adult skills not-for-profit sector of Cambridgeshire.
Over the years membership has grown significantly, becoming more fluid and diverse. It includes voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSE), statutory bodies, private sector providers and individuals.
The original organisation that delivered GET has closed and the work has been taken over by Support Cambridgeshire.
We are continuing the work to build this network to cover all those with an interest in learning and skills across the county.

At a recent network meeting we were pleased to welcome four organisations: Abbey People, Turtle Dove, New Meaning Foundation, and Papworth Trust, benefitting from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) Learning and Skills Fund. The organisations presented their projects. Find out more and watch a recording of their presentations.
Digital Badges
Support Cambridgeshire are excited to introduce digital badges for local community groups and charities to recognise the awesome skills and achievements of their learners, beneficiaries and volunteers. This initiative is a collaboration between Support Cambridgeshire, The GET Group, and the Region of Learning.
Find out how to celebrate your people’s achievements with digital badges!
