A free and welcoming event for voluntary and community organisations, cross-sector colleagues and local partners. Join us for a half day of learning, networking and practical support designed to help your organisation thrive.
Who is it for?
Voluntary and community organisations, cross-sector colleagues and local partners.
What is it about?
Whether you are looking for funding opportunities, advice from local experts, fresh ideas, or the chance to connect with others working across the sector, there will be something for everyone.
Throughout the morning , you can take part in workshops, meet members of the Support Cambridgeshire team and partner organisations, access tailored one-to-one support, and share experiences with colleagues from across the county.
Attend for the whole event or simply drop in for the activities and sessions most relevant to you.

Workshops
Making It Count: Celebrating and Showing What You Do
Ten to eleven o’clock
This session asks groups to reflect on the difference they make and explore ways they could demonstrate this difference when reporting to their supporters and funders. The session will be run jointly by Support Cambridgeshire and Cambridgeshire Community Foundation’s Grant Manager, Sara Marshall.
Diversify and Strengthen: Start Building a Resilient Income Strategy
Noon to one o’clock
A practical introduction to diversifying your income streams, understanding financial resilience, and beginning to build an income strategy that works for your organisation. This session will be run by our Development Team.
Networking and Refreshments
Drop in anytime between half past ten and one o’clock
Take some time to connect with the Support Cambridgeshire team, including our Chief Executive, Mark Freeman, as well as colleagues from other local organisations. Hear an update from Huntingdonshire District Council, enjoy light refreshments, and make valuable new connections.

Looking for Funding?
Matthew from IDOX will be on hand to offer support with Support Cambridgeshire 4 Community , our free funding database. He can help you search for grants, identify suitable funders and find opportunities that match your organisation’s needs.
Social Media Drop-In
The Communications Team will be hosting one-to-one sessions tailored to your organisation’s needs. Whether you need help with content, engagement, choosing the right platforms, or promoting an event or campaign, the team will be on hand with practical advice and guidance.

Get free practical tips, guidance and resources from Nigel Sutton, Fraud and Cyber Security Advisor. to help protect your organisation, staff, volunteers and members from scams, fraud and online threats including phishing, smishing and vishing. Volunteer Cambs
Rima is our Volunteer Cambs expert and can help you make the most of the online volunteering platform. Whether you’re advertising opportunities, improving your listings, or looking to attract more volunteers, drop in for practical advice and one-to-one support.

If you would like to attend but need to keep up with work, we can provide a quiet workspace. Just let us know when booking.
Who is hosting?
The event will take place at The Maple Centre, 6 Oak Drive, Huntingdon PE29 7HN
There is free car parking located off Coneygear Road, turn into Nene Road and take the first right, and turn right again into the car park , you will see the large car park next to the Golden Knight public house.
There are a couple of disabled spaces here, nearest the bridge.
Please search the postcode PE29 7LB. Once parked, it is only a 1 min walk (turn right as you look towards the pub) cross the footbridge going over the road, then turn right and you will see the Maple Centre.
