Essential skills for Trustees – event over two lunchtimes (Part 1)

This two-part event will take place over 2 lunchtimes one week apart and is aimed at giving trustees from community organisations and small charities the essential tools to perform their role safely and effectively.
We are encouraging trustees to book for both sessions.
Who is it for?
Those interested in finding out about becoming a trustee, new trustees or experienced trustees looking for a refresher and those working alongside trustees.
What is it about?
Part 1 taking place on Wednesday 4 November, will provide trustees with an overview of their role and the responsibilities.
What will I learn?
- What Public Benefit means and how that makes an organisation charitable
- Legal duties of Trustees
- Safeguarding the charity’s values, aims and objectives
Who is hosting?
This training has been developed by our development team who have a wealth of experience working with trustee boards across the voluntary sector. The trainer will be happy to stay on after the main session if anyone wishes to ask further questions.
