Guidance for organisations on supporting volunteers with additional needs
We offer support and guidance for voluntary groups looking to recruit volunteers more inclusively offering tailored advice and guidance.
In addition, many health and social care organisations refer their clients to the Volunteering for All project, because of the beneficial impact of volunteering, and because coming to us is an important step to test individuals’ readiness towards being independently active in their community.
Group workshops and presentations
We offer online presentations about the benefits of volunteering, possible roles individuals could pursue and how to get involved. We also visit day centres, hospital wards or supported living accommodations and partner with other charities in the city to best support the clients.
Guidance and advice for those in support roles
We work with charities, statutory services and carers who refer their clients to us when they feel that the client might be ready to find out more about volunteering or need guidance on how to improve their readiness.
We also offer advice about how to help them find the right opportunities, improving their individual knowledge of what is available locally in terms of volunteering and support opportunities.
Volunteer Blend: virtual coffee morning to talk about volunteering
Every month we invite voluntary sector groups to come along and talk informally to people interested in volunteering. People have a chance to find out about local community projects and their volunteering opportunities in a friendly and informal space.
