Support Cambridgeshire want to offer individuals and organisations across Cambridgeshire the opportunity to access information and support in many different ways, whether in your own time, peer-to-peer networking or a large-scale conference event.

We know it can be unclear, so we have tried to explain how to engage below.

Hunts Forum, CCVS and Support Cambridgeshire workshops

Workshops are teacher-led on one subject matter, followed by questions and answers. Workshops will happen online and in person and may sometimes be accredited.

Are these workshops free for my organisation?

If Hunts Forum or CCVS are providing the training, you must become a member of one of the partner groups to access the training for free. However, several sessions delivered by CCVS funded by Support Cambridgeshire are free. Free training will always be promoted as such and is open to all organisations within Cambridgeshire. If you are unsure, contact us to ask.

On-demand Training

As part of the free offer from Support Cambridgeshire, we have launched our on-demand training for groups, which covers those frequently asked questions, such as; What structure should my group be? How to change my governing document? Or things like insurance and much more. Click here to view currently available sessions and sign up.

CPD Certified training

Support Cambridgeshire has partnered with VSL Learning to offer CPD-certified Safeguarding (Children & Adults), GDPR and Cyber security training for all VCSE groups. This low-cost training allows you to sign up your staff and volunteers to complete training in their own time. To access this training click here. Countywide events

Support Cambridgeshire will offer several countywide, more significant themed week events throughout the year.

Our Funding Week, Connecting Communities and Trustee events cover three critical areas of development for all organisations.

These events are annual and accessible to anyone working, volunteering or interested in voluntary and community groups within Cambridgeshire. We try to make the weeks interactive and bring in outside speakers and organisations to talk about best practise and what else is happening around that topic.

Networking sessions

Support Cambridgeshire offers various networking sessions on various topics, including green spaces, fundraisers and marketing, to name just a few.
