Social Value Fund 

Available for all not-for-profit groups and organisations, the £1.7 million Social Value Fund (with grants between £15,000 and £200,000) is designed to maximise the wider benefits of the scheme in the local area.

The fund is open to any project that delivers positive value, benefits and a lasting legacy for local people, the community, the environment, or the economy. We ask that projects:

• are local to Bedfordshire or Cambridgeshire and can demonstrate a link to the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet improvements
• will contribute to National Highways social value pillars: Economic prosperity, Improving the environment, Community wellbeing, Equality, diversity
• will only involve capital costs
• will be complete and invoiced by 31 March 2027
• contribute to National Highways scheme ambition of leaving a lasting positive legacy in the local area

Application window for the Social Value Fund:

• November 2025 to January 2026
