Marking the End of an Era: Julie’s Retirement Celebration
On 28th April 2025, the Lady Olivia Centre in Brampton was filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt tributes as we came together to celebrate the retirement of our wonderful colleague, Julie, after 17 years of dedicated service at Hunts Forum and -over 35 years of service in local authorities, the NHS, and the voluntary sector.
The event brought together friends, colleagues, and partners from across the community and voluntary sector to honour Julie’s incredible contributions — not only to Hunts Forum but to the wider charity sector. Throughout her time with us, Julie has championed local organisations, supported countless initiatives, and brought people together with her unwavering belief in the power of community.
The afternoon was relaxed, cheerful, and full of joy — exactly the way Julie would have wanted it. Guests enjoyed delicious wood-fired pizza from Serious Dough Co, an elegant grazing table by The Grazing Zebra, and beautiful cakes and cupcakes from Baked by Emma. It was the perfect way to mark such a special milestone.

Julie shared a few words following the celebration:
“I was overwhelmed by the number of people who came to my retirement party. So many friends and colleagues said such lovely things. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with so many amazing people who all share my passion for community service. Thank you to everyone who has helped make my working life so special.”
