Cambridgeshire County Council are looking to recruit to a full time Strengthening Communities Officer post on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2018. This post sits in the County Council’s Strengthening Communities Team.

The postholder will be working closely with colleagues at Cambridgeshire Community Foundation to effectively deliver the Cambridgeshire Communities Innovation Fund. The fund invests in ideas and expertise that will help people stay safe, independent and well in their community and reduce demand for County Council services.

This role is key to the success of the Innovation Fund and includes raising awareness amongst eligible organisations. A core part of the role will be liaising internally to ensure the smooth running of the fund. Once awards are made, the postholder will support funded projects to share good practice.

The role will also provide general officer support to the Strengthening Communities Service, for example supporting events.

You will be working with a broad range of internal and external partners and will need experience of community engagement and partnership working as well as being a skilled communicator. An understanding of organisational change is important.

You will have excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 28 March.
