Sharing the difference: An introduction to impact
Aimed at those working or volunteering in small groups looking to find out more about how to measure the difference their work makes
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at those working or volunteering in small groups who want to find out more about how to measure the difference their work makes. The course is a basic introduction and there is no need to have had prior experience of planning or evaluation to attend.
What is it about?
Impact is the difference your organisation makes. Increasingly you need to be able to measure and communicate the impact of your organisation’s work to funders, trustees, clients and your own staff to demonstrate that your organisation is delivering the best possible service.
What will I learn?
How to identify what funders and other stakeholders want to know and use impact planning to improve what you do.
By the end of the session you will:
- Understand the key terms funders and other stakeholders use around impact.
- Review planning tools including Theory of Change to help improve your ability to identify and describe the difference your organisation makes
- Have a better understanding of what you need to monitor and evaluate to evidence change.
What to expect:
A presentation with the opportunity to ask questions and a group activity.
