Retaining engaged and motivated volunteers
The training considers recent changes in volunteering and focuses on what potential volunteers are looking for. It also looks at how we as organisations can balance meeting volunteer needs with delivering our missions.

You are welcome to sign up for one or both sessions.
Who is it for?
For people who are new to recruiting volunteers or those with experience who want to reflect and refresh their approach.
What is it about?
The training reflects on tools and theories to build engagement and understand volunteer motivations. It also considers the policies and processes needed to support volunteers to fulfil their roles in a safe and satisfying way.
What will I learn?
The session aims to provide you with knowledge around:
- What motivates people
- Relationship management to enhance engagement
- Policies and procedures to help deliver positive experiences and statutory compliance while keeping everyone safe.
What to expect:
The session is run as a presentation with discussion, polls and quizzes.
