Practical approaches to forecasting – plotting your path to the future
Sometimes it is hard enough to know what the next few weeks look like, let alone trying to write a 3 year plan. In this session we will be exploring the benefits of scanning ahead, up and out. We will see the role of financial forecasting in equipping you to plot your path to the future so you can grasp opportunities and avoid pitfalls.
Who is it for?
Suitable for employed staff or trustees who are managing the finances of a charity or social enterprise with an income up to £300k.
What is it about?
We will look at:
· making plans and the role of forecasting
· the financial implications of a plan including on reserves
· modelling a simple finance forecast exploring the differences between forecasting cash and income
· reviewing what we need to consider in case of financial difficulties

The trainer will be Rachel Cooper, Associate Director at Embrace Finance, an experienced charity finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in the sector
