Training & Events

MECC is about reflecting on the conversations we have to ensure we make the most of every opportunity to engage in a healthy conversation.

Who is it for?

This training is open to any voluntary group in Cambridgeshire but best suited to Fenland groups as we are running the training in-person in the town of March in Cambridgeshire.

What is it about?

MECC Healthy Conversations is an approach that is used in millions of day to day interactions that organisations and individuals have with people, to support them in making positive changes, to both their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Rather than telling people what to do, Making Every Contact Count is about recognising opportunities to talk to people about their wellbeing using the skills of asking and listening.

This course enables people to make the most of the opportunistic moments that can make a difference to people’s health – not just physical, but also their mental wellbeing. By supporting people to make changes to their lifestyles it is possible to prevent ill health, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.

Who is hosting?

The training will be run by Healthy You
