Want to learn more about managing Green spaces?

Support Cambridgeshire is offering a peer-learning event for town and parish councils, and other interested community organisations at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve on Wednesday 24th May 2017.

Members of the Friends Group that run and manage the reserve will be sharing information with interested clerks, councillors and community groups on how the Nature Reserve has been set up, how it is funded and how it is managed.

The afternoon will begin with refreshments in the visitor centre where attendees will be met by Jim Stevenson, one of the volunteer wardens who will give a brief overview of the background to the reserve and how it works. This will be followed by a walk around the ‘Meadow Trail’ which will last about an hour and will include further information about how the reserve is run and will provide an opportunity for questions to be asked. Back at the visitor centre there will be a talk by Mark Nokkert of Cambridgeshire ACRE on funding green spaces.

There are still a few places available – you can book here: https://managingandfundinggreenspaces.eventbrite.co.uk

This is a Free course to any community organisation that operates across Cambridgeshire.
