Health and Wellbeing Network; Intro to Social Prescribing software Joy (Repeat event)
The session theme will surround how (VCS) voluntary and community sectors can engage with the new JOY software and receive referrals from GPs. This is a repeat of the session held in August.
Event Agenda
The Joy team will be attending and presenting on the system.
A presentation covering
1> What is JOY
2> How is it different from other databases (like HayYou)
3> How the referral pathway works
4> Difference between referral and signposting
5> How to sign up
This will be followed by questions and networking. Depending on attendance numbers, this will happen in breakout rooms or in the main room.
What is JOY
There’s a lot of different parts to Joy, but one part of the system, the Marketplace, is being introduced to support the Community and Voluntary sector to make and receive referrals, the ambition is that Joy will help to establish easier, more streamlined ways of working between the community and care sectors.
The key points of Joy’s Marketplace are:
- Makes it easier for community-based services to refer and/or signpost into other community organisations (as well as other services e.g. local social prescribing services).
- Provides community-based organisations with outcomes data to showcase how their services are leading to health improvement.
- Identifies gaps in service provision.
Who is this event for?
Any VCSE groups are interested in knowing more about how to engage with the software and make those links with the personal care workers.
Personal care workers are encouraged to come along and listen to how VCSE are going to engage with the system.
