What’s the workshop about?

This short lunchtime workshop will take you through the practical steps needed to safely run in-person events and move project delivery back to face to face. It will consider how to properly assess and evaluate hazards and ensure that you are meeting your legal duties towards others (including the public). It is aimed at anyone responsible for health and safety in small voluntary sector groups.

 

What will it cover?

  • Undertaking a risk assessment
  • Being aware of your duties toward staff, volunteers and the public
  • Being more confident in applying best practices and communicating this to others

The workshop will finish with a look at safety resources and your next steps.

 

The Trainer

The workshop will be delivered by David Green from Green Pepper Consulting, David is an experienced trainer who works regularly with small charities, voluntary and community groups. David was formerly the chair of a national health and safety committee for further education that brought together employers, trade unions and the Health and Safety Executive.
