Finding Funding for your Community

Join us to hear from grant funders and put your questions to them about the projects your community needs funding. The funders attending include:

  • Cambridgeshire County Council cultivate fund – The 1st August funding round (£2,000-£15,000) is for projects that build community support networks for vulnerable people. Particularly Mobile Warden Schemes, Community Youth Worker, Digital Inclusion, Timebanks, Good Neighbour Schemes, Dementia-Friendly Communities and Men’s Sheds – that can help people to remain independent and active within their community, encourage volunteering, and complement more costly Council services. You can find guidance on how to apply for a start-up grant for each of these projects here.
  • Cambridgeshire Community Foundation – manage a range of funds offer small grants(under £3499) and large grants (over £3500) the next deadline for general applications is 1st August.
  • Community chest grants (South Cambs District Council) – grants of up to £1000 for one-off costs for a project or activity for non profits in South Cambs
  • Local Connections Fund – micro grants of £300 to £2500 to help people build connections back after the Covid crisis, helping people reengage and opening up community spaces. Opens 28th June eligible funding will be allocated on a first come first served basis . Administered by The National Lottery Community Fund

This event is FREE to CCVS and Hunts Forum members, £40 for non-member groups

Groups are able to book up to two places on any course. We do hold a waiting list if courses are oversubscribed and may be able to offer additional places if these are available. Let us know if you want to book extra places.

Places on CCVS courses are free for members. But please note that all bookings are subject to the CCVS cancellation policy and we do make a charge if places are cancelled without giving notice as detailed in the policy.
