Effective Business Planning
Charities need business plans to show our supporters, beneficiaries, funders and the public how we are going to get things done. They set out our goals and explain how we will measure our performance. A business plan helps us demonstrate that we are accountable, transparent and sustainable. For example they are a key tool in preparing for funding applications and for charity registration.
We will run the training in 2 parts with a short break – attendance is required at both. We will then offer an optional follow up meeting to support the development of your plan.
Part 1: Key terms & simple planning tools – getting your head around the basics – looks at business terminology and simple planning tools that can help you prepare your plan
Break
Part 2: Creating a business plan – getting your ideas down on paper – looks at how you develop and design your plan. In addition to the slides we will provide you with a business plan template you can use to get started.
