Cash flow forecasting: Keeping the lights on (free to members)
Who is it for?
The session is suitable for employed staff or trustees who are managing the finances of a charity or social enterprise with an income up to £1m.
What is it about?
Cash keeps the lights on. It’s as simple as that. However, cashflow problems are more common than we might think. Often, we can budget to breakeven, or turn a surplus, and still encounter cashflow problems. Learn how to prepare a simple cashflow forecast to make sure we don’t run out.
We will look at:
• Why and how to do cash flow forecasting
• What we can do when our forecasts look gloomy
• What we have to do when the problems look serious
• Top tips and common elephant traps
What you can expect:
• Some slides and Q and A
• A template
• Group discussion
• Please come prepared to share and learn together
The trainer will be Liz Pepler, Director at Embrace Finance who are experts in mentoring smaller charities in building understanding and financial sustainability.
