Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Voluntary Sector Network Update

‘Together for healthier communities’

Celebrating our work!

Top story this month is our plan to celebrate the difference that we make together. Our December meeting will be focussing on success and collaboration. We want to hear about what being part of this Network has helped you achieve over the year. If you would like to contribute please contact Sandie or Debbie. We’re very flexible on content – it’ll be your session.

October meeting

Our guest speakers last month were Dr Abby Richardson and Sarah Bailey from the North Care Partnership. Abby and Sarah told us how Integrated Neighbourhoods are helping with personalised care plans and new initiatives, such as a new asthma app. We also heard from Leesa Murray, Peterborough City Council, about adult social care developments. Leesa told us that a home and community support tender is due out at the end of the month. We also heard that the faith research is starting another phase which will include wider global faiths and more about the WorkWell programme. The next item summarises what we learnt about WorkWell.

WorkWell

WorkWell is a pilot programme designed to assist individuals experiencing physical, mental, or social barriers to work, by helping them stay in work or return after a period of illness or injury.  Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS is one of 15 selected pilot programmes nationally.  The pilot programme will be delivered across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Royston through six hubs.  Delivery partners for each of the hubs are:

  • Fenland: Fenland District Council
  • Huntingdonshire: Huntingdon District Council
  • Peterborough: Papworth Trust
  • East Cambridgeshire/Cambridge City/South Cambridgeshire & Royston: CPSL MIND

Participants must be over 16, live or be registered with GP within C&P and have the right to work in the UK, and have an identified health-related barrier to work.  Participants can be unemployed or employed but signed off from work due to a health barrier. Employed participants at risk of being signed off from work due to a health matter are also eligible.

Health and Work Coaches will work with participants to address their health-related barriers to work and develop a personalised support approach through a Thrive at work or Return to Work Plan.  This programme offers guidance on health in the workplace and helps employees develop the skills they need to manage their conditions effectively. Employers can refer eligible employees into WorkWell.

ICS Outcomes Framework

Some of you may be aware of the ICS Outcomes Framework and had the opportunity to contribute to its development. There is now a new interactive dashboard framework on the Cambridgeshire Insights website. You’ll see that the dashboard lets you select domains and any high level or proxy outcome indicator, and see the baseline, ambition where applicable and latest trend data. In coming months there will be opportunities to learn more about the framework and the dashboard. Resources that explain in simple terms are on their way.

Digital Survey

Healthwatch is running a survey on digital access to healthcare information, options, and services on behalf of NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough (our Integrated Care Board). This is to help them better understand what works well for people and shape future provision. Please help to share the survey widely with your staff and networks to inform the work: Improving digital access to health care | Healthwatch Cambridgeshire
